Colour Palette
Colour is the best way to express emotions. For this app I wanted to go for natural tones to express warmth and comfort to the users. The colour #FBF4F2 is a warm background and #0D6E41 is the perfect accent colour.
Typography
The typeface can define the personality of an app. I chose a geometric sans-serif typeface, "Montserrat" because of how approachable and friendly it is. It goes well with the personality of this app.

High Fidelity Design
The splash screen comprises a simple animation of plants which is designed to create a comforting and inviting feeling among the users.
An easy to navigate and fun onboarding experience makes the user familiar with the uses of the app and gives a better experience.
The home page is a "Virtual Garden" where the user can add their houseplants and divide them based on the room they're in.

Users can sort the plant cards based on urgency, the date they were added, height or simply by searching them.
The inbuilt plant identifier allows users to discover new plants by either taking a new photo or choosing from the gallery.

Upon identification, the user can read more about the plant and may add it to the garden.

The information is condensed and specific so that the users don't feel overwhelmed.
Users will be prompted with recommended articles about the searched plant which can be quickly minimized.
In the explore section, the users can find new plants that they can add to their garden.

A new plant can be searched using filters based on the space (indoor/outdoor), size (small/medium/large), weather requirements, avoid allergens, budget, maintenance, etc.

The "Fits Well" tag helps users understand which plants fit well in their space based on the plants they already have.
The users can also get information from various articles on how to take care of
plants - watering needs, use of fertilizers, tips on growing, etc.

They can browse styling tips and shop for accessories such as planters, pebbles, soil, fertilizers, etc and even post a new article.
The tasks are divided into 3 sections, "Do today", "Coming Up" and "Calender.
The tasks can be sorted individual plant wise or can be viewed all at once based on urgency. This gives more flexibility to the users and helps them prioritize their tasks.
The users can also plant their monthly tasks in the calender section where the tasks are colour coded and can be viewed on tapping dates.
