I believe there are several parallels that can be drawn between Architecture and UX design. While the tangible results are quite different, the most common thread between the two disciplines is the way we view the world and think about design.

Having an architectural background has taught me how to implement design thinking in solving complex problems. Transitioning to Human-Computer interaction became a smooth process as I could better understand the design process required for designing effective user experiences.
